The Walrus .087 Balloon Guide Catheter System is a
variable stiffness catheter that provides proximal
support while maintaining distal flexibility, combining
flow control,
trackability, support and access. Walrus BGC is indicated for use both to facilitate the insertion and guidance of an intravascular catheter, as well as to serve as a conduit for retrieval devices. Walrus BGC features an 8+ French (OD) and .087 (ID) accommodating
market leading catheters for maximum clot capture. Until now, widespread adoption
of BGCs has been limited due to technical constraints.
The Walrus BGC was specifically designed to address
these technical shortcomings providing a .087 ID in a highly trackable catheter platform.
Walrus BGC
marks a big step forward in balloon guide catheter
technology and for stroke patients worldwide. It’s all about diameter!
