Where did our name come from?

We’re called Q’Apel for the Qu’Appelle River, a waterway that winds through Saskatchewan, Canada. Why? Because this pristine river charts a winding path, full of twists, turns, and straightaways alike. That’s what we do, too. Our cutting-edge products—neurological catheters, specifically—are designed to navigate the twists and turns of the brain’s neurovasculature, empowering therapeutic thrombectomy and cerebral aneurysm devices to deliver life-changing outcomes.

John Dahldorf

John Dahldorf joined Q’apel Medical, Inc. on March 31, 2025 as Chief Financial Officer. He previously was the CFO of Digirad Corporation, Volcano Corporation, Acutus Medical, SCN Bestco and Adagio Medical Holdings. He has more than 20 years of experience leading finance and accounting functions in public and private healthcare companies and currently serves on the Board of Directors of Hyperfine, Inc. John holds a Bachelors degree in Finance and a MBA from Western Illinois University.
