Where did our name come from?

We’re called Q’Apel for the Qu’Appelle River, a waterway that winds through Saskatchewan, Canada. Why? Because this pristine river charts a winding path, full of twists, turns, and straightaways alike. That’s what we do, too. Our cutting-edge products—neurological catheters, specifically—are designed to navigate the twists and turns of the brain’s neurovasculature, empowering therapeutic thrombectomy and cerebral aneurysm devices to deliver life-changing outcomes.

Jamie Peterson

Jamie Peterson brings over 30 years of proven success in the medical device industry to Q’Apel. He has a solid track record of building and leading dynamic commercial teams in the neurovascular space. Peterson has been involved in numerous early stage launches of disruptive technologies in both the neurovascular and surgical markets. At Medtronic Neurovascular he doubled sales as Northeast Director in three short years. Peterson also served as US Director Sales at Boston Scientific Neurovascular for seven years with impressive sales growth resulting in the acquisition of Boston Scientific Neurovascular to Stryker for $3BB. Peterson has also served on the leadership teams of Asensus Surgical, Ulthera, MedSurg Innovations and J&J Ethicon Endo-Surgery. Jamie is a graduate of Towson University where he was a four-year varsity football letter winner.
