Q’Apel Leadership

Stew brings to Q’Apel Medical more than 25 years of leadership experience in the medical device space. He has a proven track record of success in creating high-performing global teams to drive revenue growth and profitability in both large, publicly traded enterprises and privately backed organizations. Stew most recently served as the Global President of the Haemonetics Hospital Business Unit, where he spearheaded a threefold revenue growth since joining the company in 2019. Prior to that, Stew was President of the Teleflex Interventional franchise and was responsible for Teleflex driving deeper penetration into the interventional cardiology and radiology spaces. Mr. Strong began his career with Ethicon Endo-Surgery (J&J), followed by Medtronic Cardiovascular, before holding executive leadership roles at Atricure, Inc., and Vidacare, Inc. (acquired by Teleflex in 2013). He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Obvius Robotics and previously served on the Board of Vivasure Medical.

Jeff is a medical device entrepreneur with over 25 years of experience developing innovative devices. Before joining Q’Apel, he served as Vice President of Engineering at Hotspur Technologies, where he led the development of the GPSCath PTCA catheter, which was sold to Teleflex in July 2012. Prior to that, Jeff served as Vice President of Research and Development at SquareOne, Inc., where he led the development of the BOSS Ostial Stent System from inception through its first human clinical use. Jeff also served as the lead engineer for the FilterWire EX Embolic Protection System at Embolic Protection Inc., which was later acquired by Boston Scientific. Jeff is an inventor on 73 issued and pending patents and holds a B.S. in Materials Science and Engineering from San Jose State University.

Ken is an operations and product development executive with a 30-year track record of bringing new medical technologies to market. He has commercialized products in a range of surgical specialties, including general surgery, vascular surgery, urology, and ophthalmology. In 2011, Ken founded Ocunetics, Inc., and sold its technology to Iridex Corp, where he remained as VP of R&D until 2015. Ken’s previous experience includes Axiom Technology Partners, acquired by Teleflex in 2012, as well as General Surgical Innovations, Inc., acquired by Tyco Healthcare. Ken graduated from UC Berkeley’s College of Engineering and holds an MBA from the Columbia Business School in New York.

John joined Q’Apel Medical in March 2025 as Chief Financial Officer. He previously was the CFO of Digirad Corporation, Volcano Corporation, Acutus Medical, SCN Bestco, and Adagio Medical Holdings. He has more than 20 years of experience leading finance and accounting functions in public and private healthcare companies and currently serves on the Board of Directors of Hyperfine, Inc. John holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and an MBA from Western Illinois University.

Tim is a senior commercial leader with over 30 years of experience in the medical device industry, specializing in neurovascular and neurosurgical innovation. He has a proven track record of driving double-digit growth, scaling high-performance sales organizations, and successfully commercializing disruptive technologies. He has successfully led commercial organizations through three acquisitions and integrations—Anspach Companies to Synthes (2010), Synthes to Johnson & Johnson (2012), and NICO Corporation to Stryker (2024)—while helping establish new standards of care through market-building clinical innovation.

Carlos is a Marketing professional with over thirty years of experience in small to large multinational companies in the medical device space. He has a proven track record creating impactful sales and marketing campaigns and developing corporate culture.  Before joining Q’Apel, Carlos held senior leadership positions at both industry- leading companies including Stryker Neurovascular, Cordis (Johnson & Johnson), and Guidant, as well as smaller organizations including Concentric Medical (acquired by Stryker Neurovascular), Conor MedSystems (acquired by Cordis) and Vascular Architects. He holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Point Loma University and an MBA with concentrations in Marketing and International Business from Santa Clara University.

Michael comes to Q’Apel from Johnson and Johnson (formerly Verb Surgical), where he was the VP of Manufacturing and Service for surgical robotics. Michael has a track record of using his expertise to drive high levels of quality and delivery while developing high-performance teams that are energized and grow with the company. Prior to joining Verb Surgical, Michael held key manufacturing and operational positions at Radiation Oncology equipment providers: ViewRay and Accuray.

Jennifer is a seasoned regulatory, quality, and clinical affairs strategist with over 25 years of experience guiding medical products to global markets. Known for her visionary leadership, strategic acumen, and innovative approach, Jennifer specializes in high-complexity medical devices and has played a pivotal role in bringing groundbreaking technologies to patients worldwide. Before joining Q’Apel, Jennifer held senior leadership positions at industry-leading companies, including Stryker Neurovascular, CardioKinetix, Abbott, Guidant, and Medtronic. She holds a B.S. in Mass Communication – Journalism from San Jose State University.

Ramneet brings over 18 years of experience in Human Resources, encompassing numerous leadership roles of increasing scope and complexity. She has played a pivotal role in shaping company culture and nurturing talent during high-growth periods, spanning from startups to multinational organizations with impressive expansions. Ramneet’s deep passion for employee experience, talent development, company culture, cutting edge technology and high growth environments has enabled her to create scalable infrastructures that empower mission-driven organizations like Q’Apel to attract, retain, and inspire exceptional talent while achieving meaningful results. Prior to joining Q’Apel, Ramneet served as a Global Human Resources leader at Cepheid, a subsidiary of Danaher and a global leader in the field of molecular diagnostic testing.

Ramneet completed the Chief Human Resources Program (CHRO) from the University of Pennsylvania- Wharton. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Human Resources from California State University, East Bay.
